  • Can Lucky Leash Rescue take my animal(s)? Unfortunately, we cannot take on large numbers of animals.  We MIGHT be able to help (depending on the animal's temperament) if you can foster until the animal is adopted.  Please read our foster agreement here [COMING SOON].
  • Where is Lucky Leash Rescue located? We are NOT a shelter.  If you are interested in adopting an animal from us, visit our Adoption section here to read about our adoption process. We are a foster-based rescue group and are always looking for more foster parents!
  • Is this animal still available?  If the animal is listed on our Petfinder page, then the animal is still available.  We move the animals to "Adoption Pending" when the animals go to a home.  Our website is updated daily.  This does NOT mean that there isn't already an application submitted for that animal.  We are NOT a first-come, first-serve operation, but rather strive to place our animals in the best homes possible for both the animals and the adopters.
  • What is the adoption fee? Our adoption fee is $150, which covers the spay/neuter, the micro-chip and registration, current vaccinations, current flea and heartworm preventative, current basic obedience training, and lots of love!
  • What is the adoption process? You can read all about our adoption process here.
  • What are your adoption policies? Please read our application here to see what kind of questions we ask.  We typically do NOT adopt to households with children under the age of five for the safety of the children and all animals involved. 
  • Do you have a phone number for me to call? Unfortunately, we are not able to publish our phone number on the Internet for privacy purposes.  Please send us an email at luckyleashrescue@gmail.com and we will respond within 24 hours.
  • How do I donate to your organization? We welcome all donations!  100% of all monetary donations go directly to the animals.  Please visit our petfinder page here to donate via paypal or you may send a check to our P.O. Box located at: P.O. Box 19581 Houston, TX 77224.
  • I have an animal that I found and I can foster, now what? First, we will ask you to fill out our foster agreement here [COMING SOON].  Then, we will ask if you can provide any medical care as our funds are very limited.  Next, a Lucky Leash Rescue representative will set up a meeting with you to determine if we are able to help and to make sure that the animal is "adoptable".  During this step, we want to find out if the animal needs any basic obedience training, medical care, or has any outstanding behavioral issues that will limit the animal's adoptability.
